First picture in the fishin' Daze "spot" goes to my dad. We were fishing Crystal River FL mile markers when he hammered this monstrous black drum. Florida Sportsman liked it so much, they printed the picture! Nice fish dad!
Since this picture, we've pulled an all nighter in Panama City bay where he (he's gonna kill me for telling this) got a hook in his finger past the barb, Almost dumped everyone out of the boat in the wake of a cruise ship, and lost his cell phone due to falling in....ahh, the memories. :-)

This is the wonderful fish you see in the header above you. The fight lasted a good 15 minutes, and this is just one of many aerobatics this fish displayed while on hook. This trip took place while on temporary military assignment, and all but 2 of the 8 that went, got sails in the boat. (Would have been 7 out of 8 but the pesky seagulls kept stealing the bait right out of the sailfish's mouth!) It was a proud day pulling back into port flying those sailfish flags on the boat! I would do it again any day!!!
